Install the bootsplash-systemd package Plus any theme that goes with it for the image used. fe. i used bootsplash-theme-manjaro Add the needed kernel parameter to your bootloader, eg. in my case that is: bootsplash.bootfile=bootsplash-themes/manjaro/bootsplash
